Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park

We went for a bikeride today in Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park. It is one of Alberta's newest parks and is located on the Bow River between Calgary and Cochrane.  It has lots of paved and flat gravel paths.

The river is really high right now and so it was flooded along the bank. We did come across this fresh Beaver cut tree which the boys thought was pretty cool. Matt thought the outhouse was pretty cool and could be heard shouting "HELLO DOWN THERE"

Sleepover

On the weekend Matt decided he wanted his little brother to sleep in his room ... Stewart couldn't have been happier!

Matt got this IKEA reversible bed last year and we told him he had to wait until he was 6 to sleep on the top bunk.  I had to flip the bed on his birthday ... he was pretty excited.  We just got the second mattress last weekend, Matt had been using it as a play area but this way it can be both.

 

Calgary Tower

A couple of weeks ago we took the boys up to the Calgary Tower to do some sight seeing and have lunch in the revolving restaurant - they thought it was super cool, especially the glass floor.

When Matt saw this pic he said "I was a little nervous"

 

Eating at SKY 360, once you factor in the elevator cost (free if you eat at the restaurant) it was like eating at Boston Pizza (so totally worth it)

Go Flames

Took Matt to his first NHL Hockey game today.  Matt has said he is an Oilers fan but he got pretty excited by the Flames.  He was his own cheering section and I was really impressed by how much he got into it.

 

Matt engrossed in the game!  We were sitting beside John & Marty (who I volunteered with at the CSPG and John was Stephen's first boss at Petrocan) and it was great to catch up with them!

Annual Pictures

Every year I have been taking the boys for annual professional pictures because ... Josie seems to capture their personality in every shot, it is laid back (the studio is in her house & we are usually in and out in 45 minutes), it is an opportunity to dress them alike (insert evil mother laugh here) and the pictures ... they speak for themselves, I love them every time I see them.  I apologize - I never did send out xmas cards last month and so you may get a random pictures of the boys in the next few months - for those Nana's, And Aunts reading this ... these are coming soon to a calendar near you.  All photos by JChu Photography.
